Starting with the Back

The first extension that was carried out on our little redbrick was completed some time between the house being built and Bridget and I buying it about eight years ago. It wasn't much of an extension and basically only added an internal toilet, enclosed the laundry and created a little sun room that was too small to do much with other than put up a Christmas tree once a year.

The following photos show the room the way it is before our renovations start. Fittingly it will be the first to go..





The old toilet that we would so quickly come to miss!

You just have to love the ancient wash tub, not!


Actually the room did have one other useful feature. It had really great light and made for a fantastic makeshift photo studio. The small space of wall between the toilet door and window was the background for many portraits of the kids including the two below.
